All the cool kids were doing it, so...!
Monday, 1 April 2013 23:25So out of sheer curiosity, I googled my default username, the one I've been using since I was 13 (ryuuie), to see if I had any old accounts open in places, and so I could laugh at my socially awkward past-self throughout the decade since. (Eugh I'm getting old)
There is apparently a person in Omaha, NE who started using that name a few years (5+) after I started to (back in 2003 OTL). Which is weird coincidence. I have never made a twitter account, so I was like "hahah, weird! I'm from NE too!"
But then there were like accounts on FurAffinity and a couple of other sites like that and I just

Even the tumblr account with that name made me shudder.
No. I really hope nobody who speaks to me thinks that /that/ person is me, or has mistaken my identity if they wanted to see my writing or art or something. I mean whatever floats your boat and all, I really don't care what you're into, but I am definitely not into furry inflation and vore, and I don't appreciate having any of my accounts associated with it. No sirree bob. I think that people who directly copy usernames like that don't consider what reflects upon the other people who have used it before? I always do a quick search to see what other people use the names I want to use! I feel like that should be some sort of fandom common courtesy. You could at least add a certain number or something if you like the name, to create your own identity instead of trying to take a name as your own.
I sound really defensive here hahah. I honestly don't care, and I'm kind of leaning against using that name as it is. This is more of an observation/opinion than me being upset about anything.
Funny thing that was me that I did find:
Registered Tripod domain name. I was going to use it as a place to post my art. Hahah! That reminds me of the days of webrings.
And now that I think about it... I wouldn't be surprised if this username-copier is actually the bitch who pretended to be my friend back in high school. :/ She was always really jealous of me, apparently, according to mutual friends. So she went around saying I was going to shoot up the school. Hahahhhh. I was always asleep in class, it's not like I had the energy to do anything like that. And I never so much as said anything like it. I loved going to school to get away from home. Made me feel like I had a purpose. Now my purpose is sleeping. :3c But yeah that would explain why someone in Omaha started using the name - she was one of the people at school who had an interest in my art. Hmmmmmmmm. She was always into that kind of stuff.
Dumb bitch now has like three kids from different guys, and her mom has to take care of them. I remember her mom came to Wal-Mart one day with them in tow, and I said hello to be polite, as I'd been cleaning the donut case before putting the fresh trays in. Her mom told the kids to "say hello to your mom's friend!" And I remember just smiling because I didn't want the poor lady to know what other awful mistakes her daughter had made, or the shit I went through when people stopped talking to me for no reason. I just smiled and put some extra change in the box because I knew the donuts had been a treat for them and they... probably didn't pay for the soda they got, but whatever.
I just keep rambling on.
